Jeff Curto is Professor of Photography at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, where he has taught since 1984. He is also an accomplished photographer who for the last fifteen years has been working on a long-term project documenting the urban and natural landscape of Italy.

Curto is also the host of two photography podcasts including a History of Photography, a recording of his in-classroom lectures and Camera Position which focuses on the creative aspects of photography. His comprehensive knowledge of photography combined with a keen eye has led him to produce a unique series of images of an oft-photographed subject. You can view a selection of his photographs on his website.

Curto recommends the work of Eugene Atget.
