Matt Payne is a landscape photographer who grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado and was lucky to have parents that instilled him with a healthy appreciation for the outdoors. He grew up quite poor, which was actually quite a blessing in disguise, as his family vacations involved going camping in the Colorado mountains almost every weekend during the summer. His father took him along on his pursuit to climb Colorado's highest 100 mountains back in the 1980's and helped him climb his first 14,000 ft. mountain at the age of 6.

Whenever he can, he heads out into the amazing world to take photos. He feels most connected to the wilderness and the outdoors; however, he also enjoys exploring urban environments for unique perspectives and powerful imagery. He is also the creator of the podcast, "F-Stop, Collaborate, and Listen”, a space to have meaningful conversations with other landscape photographers all over the world.

Born in Cambridge, England, Jacqueline Walters is a fine art photographer based in San Francisco. Through a passion for expatriate literature from Paris of the 20s and 30s, she discovered the world of photography. One passion turned into another as her world of words became a world of images. Thus, began her journey from the textual to the visual, from one form of storytelling to another. In the process, she discovered that photography is about finding the story she had to tell. Above all, it is about seeing, being patient, and being forever humbled.

Ira Block is an internationally renowned photographer, teacher, and lecturer who has produced over 30 stories for the National Geographic Magazine. He has led National Geographic Photo Workshops, Expeditions, and private workshops to Mongolia, Bhutan, Cuba, and Tibet where students learn about culture and photographic vision. His documentary photography work is balanced by a stable of commercial clients for whom he shoots portraits and corporate branding.

Ira can best be described as a cultural documentary photographer. He uses his cameras and lights to document people around the world, recording the change in traditions and practices. The changes are most often gradual, which is why he returns to a location time after time after time, helping us see these changes and appreciate them through his eyes—and through social media.

Over 300,000 people currently follow him on Instagram. For Ira, this has become the new media for documentary photography.

He has had photographic exhibitions around the world. As a Sony Artisan of Imagery, Ira is often called upon to comment and give critical feedback on the Sony products he uses to create his work. His latest book Cuba Loves Baseball: A Photographic Journey documents the culture of Cuba through its love for baseball and sports.

Nydia Blas is a visual artist living in Ithaca, New York with her two children. She holds a B.S. from Ithaca College and received her M.F.A. from Syracuse University in the School of Visual and Performing Arts. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Southside Community Center, a historically Black community center in downtown Ithaca. She uses photography, collage, video, and books to address matters of sexuality, intimacy, and her lived experience as a girl, woman, and mother. Blas delicately weaves stories concerning circumstance, value, and power and uses her work to create a physical and allegorical space presented through a Black feminine lens. The result is an environment that is dependent upon the belief that in order to maintain resiliency, a magical outlook is necessary.

She is a recipient of the 2018 Light Work Grant, and her new series Whatever You Like is currently on exhibition at Over The Influence gallery in Los Angeles. Her work is featured in the book Mfon: A Journal of Women Photographers of the African Diaspora. In the Summer of 2018, she will teach a course entitled Photography as a Tool for the Image Text MFA program at Ithaca College. She has completed artist residencies at Constance Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts and The Center for Photography at Woodstock. She has been featured in The New York Times, The Huffington Post, Dazed and Confused Magazine, Strange Fire Collective, Lenscult, Yogurt Magazine, PDN, Fotografia Magazine, and Vogue.

Olaf Sztaba first picked up a camera thirty-five years ago. Since then his passion for “seeing” has become a lifetime journey with photography.

This journey started in communist Poland where Olaf spent his childhood. The dreary, utilitarian era helped him to sharpen his senses in search of things uncommon and simple. In 1996 Olaf called Canada his new home.

The grand vistas of British Columbia further opened his visual horizons and need for seeing. A dramatic illness nearly took his life but gave Olaf the courage to pursue photography full time. It also provoked a different way of seeing the world.

Olaf has been an early adopter of the Fuji X-series line of cameras and lenses, with the X100/S/T rangefinder-style remaining his favourite creative tool. In 2011, Olaf started a popular blog, http://www.olafphotoblog.com, which discusses creativity, inspiration, travel and fine art photography plus the X-series cameras and lenses. He’s also a founder of Simplicity-In-Seeing– a subscription-based educational and mentoring platform dedicated to the art of seeing.

Today, Olaf spends most of his time writing and photographing in the field, minimizing the time spent in front of a computer. He is a sought-after speaker and educator, currently working on a series of books about creativity and his personal approach to image creation.

Olaf lives in Coquitlam, British Columbia with his wife Kasia, his son Olivier and their furry four-legged companion, Bailey.

He started out learning darkroom skills and the basics of photography at the legendary Peninsula School in Menlo Park, CA, in the ‘60s, and moved on to hone his skills to professional standards at the famed San Francisco Art Institute, one of the oldest and most prestigious schools of higher education in art and photography in the United States.

Marc has been an educator since then as well; he began his teaching career at the age of 19 at the National Outdoor Leadership School, teaching mountaineering.

More recently, Marc has embraced the digital age with a highly popular YouTube show called “Advancing Your Photography,” which has won several Telly Awards and other recognition for his work there.

John Keatley often self-characterizes his work as a reflection of himself, rather than the individual he is photographing. In recent years, his journey of self-discovery has brought clarity to emotions that have always been present yet were previously unknown. Anxiety. Fear. Isolation. Not Being In Control. Keatley capitalizes on the correlation between these emotions and humor. It is a fine line, sitting in the pain of the emotion and understanding that pain can also be humorous. Yet John beautifully executes this dichotomy in his work, as the viewer is invited to stay a moment longer and ponder the unexpected.

Jeffery Saddoris is endlessly curious – about people, about creativity, about line and shape and color – and his personal and professional pursuits are driven by learning, discovering, imagining, listening, celebrating, and making.

Years of practicing and teaching photography led Jeffery to realize that few people were talking about the why of creativity – the motivations and inspirations that fuel the work of photographers and other visual artists. He began the website Faded & Blurred as a way to showcase photographers’ creative inspiration through editorials, in-depth Spotlights, and a podcast series of one-on-one interviews. One of Jeffery’s interviews was with New York-based portrait photographer Bill Wadman, who later invited Jeffery to become the co-host for his new weekly podcast On Taking Pictures.

Jeffery often refers to himself as a “serial conversationalist” and podcasting has become an increasingly important platform for his lifelong interest in learning, exploring, communicating, and sharing about art and artists – between more than 5 years talking about photography on On Taking Pictures, hosting the 12-episode Craft & Vision Podcast, and Process Driven, his ongoing podcast of long-form conversations about creativity and how the creative process manifests itself across a wide range of genres and disciplines.

Ada Trillo is a Philadelphia-based artist who was born and raised on the Mexican/American border. She had long wanted to do a body of work which focused on the social problems in Mexico to raise awareness and try to make a difference.

Several years ago, she was afforded the opportunity to capture a series of photographs centering on the lives of prostitutes in her hometown of Juarez, Mexico. This series was meant to depict and problematize the adversity these women must overcome in their daily lives. She discovered that the majority of the girls in the brothels are not from Juarez but from different parts of the country who had arrived in Juarez with the hopes of emigrating to the US. Many of them arrived with their families and were left behind. Others had been abducted.

Ada wants to emphasize that she likes these women, and wants others to understand their circumstances. They have no healthcare and no access to rehabilitation. If they cannot attract clients, they go without food. Ada is carrying out this project because she wants to document an ugly reality that must be exposed. She also hopes to raise funds for the nuns to help more girls and to collaborate with the Coalition Against Trafficking Women, an international organization dedicated to protecting human rights. This series and experience has greatly humbled her and I hope that it will have an impact, moving viewers to want to make a difference as well.

A few years ago Jim Harmer was a law student in Florida, and a passionate photographer on the side.  He started his blog, Improve Photography, while pretending to listen to his law school professors, and it changed his life.

Before long, millions of photographers from around the world were visiting his blog and he became a full-time photographer.  Although he did finish law school and passed the bar to be an attorney, he dedicated all his time to photography and his blog.

Now, over a million photographers follow him on social media, he travels the world multiple times per year teaching completely free (yep, really) workshops for readers of Improve Photography, and he has been ranked in the top 20 photographers in the United States.

Photography has been a dream come true for him, and he loves it.

Josh Coombes is a UK-based hairdresser and when he started to reach out to the homeless in his city and offer them free haircuts, he started the hashtag #dosomethingfornothing. It wasn’t long before he decided to take this idea to more than just his native city.

The idea is that as the hashtag and online presence grow, others will be inspired to ‘do something for nothing’. Whether that may be to people sleeping rough or basically anyone in need of some love.

He recently collaborated with US-based street photographer and educator Valerie Jardin. They took to the streets of New York City to offer haircuts, compassion and interaction with a community often disregarded in our culture.

Born in the rural town of Hammanskraal, South Africa in 1974 and having grown up on several farms since then, Alastair McLachlan’s early work was particularly influenced by his “sense of place”, by the land itself and the primary elements of fire, earth, water and air.

Living on a farm in Zwartkops, on the Hennops river made him increasingly aware and alarmed by what seemed a ruthless and ill conceived invasion by industry and development – large tracks of land and vegetation seemed to disappear overnight – it was the scale, rate and sheer disregard for beauty, as evidenced by the proliferation of uniform cinder block houses and corrugated factories that scared him. What resulted was a series of “underground adventure installations” – rescued tree roots hung from ceilings in darkened spaces, reminiscent of fairground horror houses, designed to be investigated by torchlight.

In 1996 he began documenting Drive-ins around the country – an intriguing counterpoint to human endeavour but with the same vestige remnants of neglect. In 2000 he exhibited a series of “Fireworks!” – cathartic, mixed media works dealing with a sense of loss and cultural memory cycles at the Generator Art Space in Newtown. He was subsequently invited to participate in the “Tour guides of the inner city” art intervention program under the auspices of the “Urban Futures 2000” conferences. By the light of a projector strapped to the top of a pink bus, and showing homegrown video art on neglected spaces and building within the city, he found new inspiration.

Given the chance to live in Johannesburg, he decided to investigate the heart of the matter, so to speak, and made the 19th floor of the Lister Medical Building his home. From this vantage point and over more than 12 years he witnessed and tried to understand and make sense of Johannesburg.

Fadi BouKaram was born and raised in Beirut and never wanted to be a photographer. Growing up in a war-torn country, photos often were -- and still are -- the only remnant of the many people who don't exist anymore. These people unwittingly became mythical, for each photo of them hid fantastical stories that only the adults lived and told; it was magic.

But magic wears off with age, and a strictly scientific education, graduate degrees in Engineering and Business, and a corporate career wiped out most of what was left of it. It wasn't until he hit my thirties that he realized how much he needed photography; both as a therapy tool and as a way to discover oddities within the mundane.

In 2013 a group of photographers from around the world, including Fadi, started the Observe Collective. It was borne out of a 'common fascination with watching and documenting the diverse humanity that surrounds us.' Aside from this shared interest, he can't but be extremely grateful to these now-14 talented individuals, for their support, friendship, and for shaping my photographic education.

An internationally published and award winning photo artist from Ukraine now based in New York, Anya Anti has been into photography since 2009. She’s always been a creative person – as a child she was good at painting and crafts. As her passion for art grew she fell in love with photography and started shooting the world around her. As a self-taught photographer, she gained all her knowledge and inspiration through social media and online photography communities. A year-and-a-half later, she started creating fine art surrealistic female portraits, which became her preferred genre and a hallmark of her work.

Installations, costumes and Photoshop manipulation help her to embody her fantasies into a finished piece of art. She shoots mostly with old vintage manual lenses like Helios and Petzval. Their imperfections help her be more creative and achieve that dreamy effect.

As a workshop instructor, she has already taught in different countries. She has showcased her work at exhibitions and been published all around the globe. In 2015 she was the lucky winner of a Broncolor GenNEXT sponsorship.

Anya is a dreamer. Photography is not only what she loves and what she does, it’s also a gentle and romantic side of her. It's a reflection of her deep emotions, passion for unknown and craving for beauty.

Ken Hermann’s images are pathways, connecting us to micro worlds and challenging us to rethink ideas of photographic representation. Ken doesn’t worry about trends, staying true to his point of view as an image-maker. It’s exciting to see a young photographer with such a strong singular vision and approach.

Passionate about individuals and their unique histories, he explores the fragile balance between people and their environment, between tradition and modernity. Ken’s photography seamlessly weaves cultural and political content, blending documentary and cinematic portraiture. His application of lighting, combining artificial with natural, takes the images into a surreal space, creating dreamlike visions of everyday people.

Laura Pannack’s art focuses on social documentary and portraiture, and seeks to explore the complex relationship between subject and photographer.

She is driven by research led, self-initiated projects that push her both as an artist and as an individual. She needs to question what she doesn’t understands and gain access to worlds closed off to her. She is drawn to adventure, and wants to roam and play with the limitations and dynamics of photography as an art and as an act.

She largely shoots on analogue film allowing the process to be organic rather than being predefined by fixed ideas, thus removing additional pressure on the sitter.

She tries to understand the lives of those she captures, and to present them creatively. She’s a firm believer that time, trust and understanding is the key to portraying subjects truthfully, as such, many of her projects develop over several years.

This particular approach allows a genuine connection to exist between sitter and photographer, which in turn elucidates the intimacy of these very human exchanges. Her images aim to suggest the shared ideas and experiences that are entwined in each frame that she shoots.

Her work aims to tell and inspire stories and she wants to connect and emotionally engage with viewers.

David Patrick Valera is a professional artist (photographer/digital-cinematographer/cameraman) based in Los Angeles. “I grew up in Silverlake, CA.” Not the Forbes Magazine hippest neighborhood known for an invasion of Teslas, horizontal wood fencing and lumber-sexuals, but the mid-city graffiti urban grit and grime it once was back in the 70’s-80’s.” A latch-key kid, David would jump on his BMX and ride down Sunset Blvd., slaloming around Hollywood street walkers, hair-bands, and the undesirables through the yet to be gentrified regions of Southern California. “Urban life is a part of my upbringing and I always wanted to document those unique, chance moments I came across during my neighborhood expeditions.”

David’s personal projects concentrate on “Street Photography”, which he has exhibited in galleries Internationally and across the Los Angeles region.  He has been interviewed and his photographs has been featured in Lens Culture, Street Photography Magazine, LA Times SoCal Moments, Lenscratch, The Candid Frame Showcase and Art Photo Feature.

David is currently an adjunct instructor at Otis College of Art and Design as well as a contributing photographer for L.A. Music Blog and L.A. Record Magazine.

David’s creativity doesn’t stop there, with over 20 years of Academy winning and nominated film credits, he is currently an Artistic Supervisor/Head Cameraman at a major Hollywood Studio.

Matt Odom is an award-winning editorial portrait, commercial advertising, industrial, and sports photographer out of a southern town just a few minutes south of Atlanta called Macon. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Mercer University in Human Services ( he's a people person)

Back in the day, he tried his hand in TV as a commercial TV producer and was promoted to a sports reporter. During his time there he shot local news and a little photography (he stuck with the latter). When he's not on assignment, he's more than likely watching his favorite soccer team Arsenal FC, boxing, coaching soccer, reading, drinking hazelnut coffee, or listening to 80's music (and yes he's a huge Hall and Oates fan). He's also an avid comic collector who is one of a few people to hold an original copy of the 1984 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1  first print...COWABUNGA

Omar Z Robles is an Official Fujifilm X-Photographer based in NYC. His interest in storytelling began with one man: Marcel Marceau. The legendary mime actor taught him how to interpret the world through subtle but riveting movements. Those movements that he acquired as a student in Paris, he employs today in his photo series of ballet dancers.

But before juxtaposing the clean lines of dancers against rugged city landscapes, Robles was shooting celebrities, athletes, artists, politicians and city dwellers for The Chicago Tribune’s Hoy, Metro San Juan, Latino Leaders and for his own street photography portfolio.

In New York City, he transformed the aesthetic of his street photography by substituting the New Yorker with the New York dancer. Robles directed the dancers to tell stories with their bodies as he had learned from Marceau. The results were an army of miniature stories as told by the gentle flow of the dancers’ bodies. These stories were later passed on by local and international media. (Mashable, Instagram’s Blog, The Phoblographer, The Huffington Post, The Daily Mail, Design Taxi and Harpers Bazaar).

He is grateful to the dance community and to his supporters – 220,000 Instagram followers and counting. His social media acumen has made him an influencer for Fujifilm, Gap, Esprit, The Guatemala Tourism Board, Esquire Magazine and other fantastic brands.

When he’s not spelunking the city, he’s at home with his wife, enjoying a steaming espresso cup – and editing his photos.

Bryan Shih is a photojournalist and former contributor to the Financial Times and National Public Radio in Japan. He has a masters degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and was a Fulbright Scholar in Japan. His work on the Black Panthers led to his selection for the New York Times inaugural portfolio review in 2013 and garnered one of the highest rankings among entries in the LensCulture 2015 Portrait Awards competition.

His book, The Black Panthers: Portraits from an Unfinished Revolution (co-authored with Dr. Yohuru Williams) was published this year by Nation Books, and work from the series will be shown at the Oakland Museum of California, the Queens Museum, and the New York Public Library Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Black Panther Party.

Most recently, he has been working in larger format black and white, usually taking just a few exposures of each subject. His work, especially on the Black Panthers, centers on documentary portraiture that probes the boundary between journalism and fine art with subjects who share acute experiences and states of mind. He built trust with these “hidden” subjects, and through their experiences, explores the relationship between images and words in telling lean yet complex and rich stories that address universal subjects and themes.

George Nobechi is a Tokyo-born, Japanese/Canadian photographer. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in History/International Relations, which has fostered an interest in life in different regions of the world. When he was 19 his father suddenly passed away, changing the course of his life and informing his future work; he left Vancouver and supported himself and his family with a 14-year career in the business world in Tokyo and New York. In 2008 he embarked on a solo journey around the world through 14 countries on six continents; his quest was to find peace with the death of his father. It was at this time that his interest in photography began.

In 2015, Nobechi decided to leave his career and studied photography under National Geographic icon Sam Abell. With Abell's mentorship, Nobechi worked with numerous artists at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and established their first Japan expeditions. Since then he has continued to journey freely, but with purpose, making new work centered around quiet moments that are inspired by his longing to re-connect with life in the wake of his father's death.

In 2016, Nobechi received numerous awards for his work, which was selected to international group shows in Texas, Vermont, Pennsylvania, and Oregon. He also enjoyed some major breakthroughs in winning a Gold Prize in the Tokyo International Foto Awards and being named a finalist in Photo Lucida's "Critical Mass." Nobechi now splits his time between the expansive desert landscape of southern Arizona and the quiet countryside of Japan.

Kevin Weinstein combines the worlds of photojournalism and artistic photography to capture memories, moods, split-second moments, and momentous events.

He’s been doing it since the darkroom ages. The instructions he was taught back then for developing photos has stuck with him: “If it is too light, add time; if it is too dark, take away time.” But in the years since, as film gave way to digital, Kevin has learned that time cannot be added or subtracted—only seized or lost. His art as a documentarian, storyteller and photographer is all about seizing the moment, and the meaning within that moment. Kevin is a master at stripping away the nonessential and capturing the essence of a person, place or point in time. The results: emotive portraits and candids, lively magazine spreads, and images that command attention amid the visual clutter that defines the digital age.

Before founding Kevin Weinstein Photography in 2001, Kevin spent 12 years in newspaper and magazine journalism. On the newspaper side, he worked for the Sun (Bremerton, Washington), the Memphis Commercial Appeal, the Albuquerque Tribune, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Oakland Tribune, and the Sun in Illinois. His magazine credits include US Weekly, People, Hollywood Reporter and Mother Jones. Celebrity subjects include Quentin Tarantino, Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Longoria, Mario Lopez, Stacy Keibler, Smeezingtons producer Ari Levine, and Christoph Waltz, among others.

Through Kevin Weinstein Photography, Kevin became a sought-after event photographer, and as his reputation and referrals spread beyond the Chicago market, he went on to shoot high-profile private parties and special events in Los Angeles, New York, and exotic and cosmopolitan destinations around the globe. Kevin Weinstein Photography has since come full circle, bringing Kevin back to his roots as an editorial and street photographer.

Ali LeRoi is a photographer as well as the Emmy Award-winning co-creator/executive producer/writer of the critically acclaimed comedy “Everybody Hates Chris,” a series inspired by the childhood experiences of comedian Chris Rock. He is a Golden Globe nominee, a 2007 NAACP Image Award winner for best writer in a comedy series, as well as a winner of the 2007 AFI TV Program of the Year Award.

LeRoi served as a producer and writer on “The Chris Rock Show,” for which he won an Emmy, a Cable Ace Award, and received five Emmy Award nominations. He is an NAACP Awards Best Director nominee for his work on Everybody Hates Chris, and has directed segments for the “77th Annual Academy Awards,” as well as for the “Orlando Jones Show.”

Major motion picture credits include producing and co-writing “Head of State” and “Down to Earth,” as well as producing cult-favorite, “Pootie Tang.”

Photography for him is meditation, memory, and connection. Taking time to consider what something is. Why something is. Who someone is. For LeRoi photography freezes the fractions of sections in between all of the things he sees and does and holds still all of the places and people he passes by and gives him a moment to consider them, inspect them, appreciate them, and remember them.

While he has a focus on people, and exploring the breadth of their condition and their ability to connect to the world around them, as well as their ability to connect with him, he also ventures into architecture as abstract, and it’s collision as form, as still life. Much of his work grows out of a strongly held sense of solitude and a desire to connect to the things around him. He has no hard and fast rules about purity or constraints around editing an image. He does what he feel. And show it. He assumes that his body of work will take on a character as it grows, as he is it’s singular filter.

Originally from Chicago, LeRoi currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons.

Stacy L. Pearsall got her start as an Air Force photographer at the age of 17. During her time in service, she traveled to over 41 countries, and attended the Military Photojournalism Program at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. During three combat tours, she earned the Bronze Star Medal and Air Force Commendation with Valor for combat actions in Iraq.

Though combat disabled and retired from military service, Pearsall continues to work worldwide as an independent photographer, and is an author, educator, military consultant, public speaker and founder of the Veterans Portrait Project.

The PDN Personal Project” award-winning series Veterans Portrait Project (VPP) began while Pearsall rehabilitated from combat injuries sustained in Iraq. Spending hours in VA waiting rooms surrounded by veterans from every generation and branch of service, Pearsall was compelled to honor and thank them in the only way she knows how, photography. She’s traveled coast to coast with the VPP and has documented roughly 6,000 veterans in over 100+ engagements. In 2015, Pearsall assisted in the establishment of the Veterans Portrait Project: UK where former British Army combat engineer and photographer, Stephen Porteous, utilizes her concept for British veterans.

Between her photography, teaching and speaking engagements, Pearsall completed her first photography book, Shooter: Combat from Behind the Camera, which received worldwide praise as "A book of the highest levels in the annals of combat journalism." And her second book, A Photojournalist's Field Guide: In the Trenches with Combat Photographer Stacy Pearsall, is "A must have for every aspiring photographer out there, and even pros can pick up a few new tricks to help them become better photographers."

Andrea Francolini is an photographer who is best known for his amazing photographs of yachting and sailing. His work has been in demand in both the editorial and commercial world.

My-First-School is a personal project for Francolini, who has a keen interest in Pakistan's diverse society. Away from the struggles reported by the media, Pakistani people are open, friendly and family-oriented but face serious challenges in everyday life just to make ends meet. Children can be affected more than most.

Education, as expected, can take second place to survival in these circumstances, and Andrea's goal is to help these families send their children to school for a basic education which then allows them to get more out of life - something we take for granted in western society.

With your donations, Andrea returns to northern Pakistan on a yearly basis to buy schooling equipment, like notebooks, pencils and erasers, which will benefit the children - especially girls who can find it harder to attend school. In 2013 My First School has started to help build classrooms in 3 existing schools in order to increase their capacities. Again, in 2013 a sponsorship program, which guarantees schooling for 5 years, has also been set up. At this stage 8 students are already part of the program and hopefully each year more will be added to the list.

Castro Frank is one of today’s premier contemporary street photographers. His style fuses a journalistic approach with an artistic eye to create imagery that is raw and speaks powerfully of our time. His compassion and empathy for the disenfranchised within our society has prompted him to capture them in such a way which attempts to restore the humanity and dignity of those often forgotten. Castro turns his lens toward systematic and societal issues that plague our nation i.e. homelessness, prostitution, poverty, drug abuse, and the plights of immigrants here in America.

Castro’s original photographs have been collected by high profile celebrities, collectors and establishments like FOX and CBS. Written publicity includes articles in the LA Times, Huffington Post, Daily News and London’s Hunger Magazine to name a few. He has been interviewed and done live segments with Telemundo and selected as fine art photographer to kick off the Los Angeles Council District 7 public art initiative “Museo Aire Libre” with his bus bench public installation.

Euan Forrester lives in Vancouver, BC and spent 9 months photographing 2 trailbuilders as they built a new mountain bike trail from scratch.

He chose 20 photos and made big prints of them that he hung along the trails. He found a place that printed them with UV-resistant ink on a hard plastic material and then laminated them. It took some back-and-forth to make prints that are visible in the dim light of the forest.

Forrester enjoys photographinghow people in different subcultures curiously and excitedly work hard at things like that.

TCF Ep. 340 - Donato DiCamillo

When Donato DiCamillo first picked up a camera he knew he would have a hard time putting it down. It became a reason for him to step out from a dark place, which he had struggled with for some time. The dark world in which he knew so well would soon come to light after being released from prison in 2011. His inspiration derived from many great documentary photographers, such as Robert Frank, Diane Arbus, Helen Levitt, Garry Winogrand, and William Klein, just to name a few, but it was Bruce Gilden and Klein's street photography that made Donato realize that he could scream through his images. His work is a constant search that's forged out of his own curiosities. They're derived from his own interpretation of people, as well as deep rooted moments in the physiological confines of his mind. "I love the amazing differences in people and how beautifully unique we all are. Good bad or indifferent; People never cease to amaze me, they often answer many of my own questions. The littlest detail, maybe in the eyes or the way someone walks can be the difference of making a photograph".
